| Here a photo of the Z sensor that is made
from a plastic base and a conductive plate made with a PCB board. |
 |
When working without a Z sensor normally you
move the Z axis to the material with manuals commands until you touch it
with the tool, it's better if you put a piece of paper under the material.
At this point you raise the Z axis at the value "Height over material"
specified plus the value of the tool change position for Z.
Example: Height over material= 5 mm. Tool change Z value 10 mm. ; after you
have reached the material with the tool you must move up of 15 mm. and so
you can launch the execution. |
| If you have the Z sensor as in the photo or a
similar. You only have to set the correct value of the sensor in the Setting
dialog as in the picture above. |
|

|
| Before launch the work you must press the Zero
Z that is in the Start dialog. At this point the controller bring
automatically the Z axis until it reach the conductive plate of the sensor
and after inverted the direction it place the Z axis at the position "Height
over material" + "Z tool change height" and you can launch the work. |
Important note:
To use the Z sensor you must have the 2.06 or above
firmware version on your controller.
The Z sensor must be connected to the UI0 input and GND. |
